We are a family owned business located in Belfair Washington in the midst of the Olympic mountain national forest on the Olympic peninsula started by Jim and Janet padden. Janet and Jim had met each other as salal pickers in the 80s, once dating they decided to start their own company Puget Sound Evergreen in 1983 which was first located in Port Orchard Washington, after opening up a floral greens company and getting customers in the United States we slowly got into Christmas greens. We then purchased property in Belfair Washington and have been here ever since. Janet as a kid worked for her family business Harding Greens after moving to Washington from Pennsylvania picking salal, making wreaths and garlands. Jim and Janet married in 1983 and had 3 sons James Jr, Forrest, Shane who all have worked with the company. Jim had passed away in may of 2022 and Shane took over his position with Janet still working and president of the company.
